Fugitive Images: Estate 

A book launch and discussion that approaches the issue public housing by setting up a dialogue between photography, archaeology of the recent past, autobiography and critical theory. Members of the panel will briefly expand on the following questions: Public or Affordable Housing – does it matter? In order to create dynamic & safe affordable housing environments, should we prioritise the formation of a more equal society through social reform or the construction of ‘estates’ designed in a manner aimed at controlling behaviour through surveillance and gated style of communities? 24 October 2010 / 16:00-18:00
