INVESTORS

One of the motivations for establishing This Is Not A Gateway was to demonstrate the possibilities of financially and culturally accessible arenas and platforms. The 2009 festival was produced on a micro-budget and as a result of entirely voluntary hours. However with over 100 participants from across Europe, over 80 events in three venues - a budget, though small was needed.

The 2009 This Is Not A Gateway Festival was made possible with the support from:

  • Openvizor.com
  • Arts Council England + Arts Council England - Grants For the Arts Lottery Funding
  • Grassroots Grants

We were very grateful for the in-kind support from:

  • London Borough of Tower Hamlets // The Kobi Nazrul Centre
  • Cockpit Arts
  • SDNA
  • Christ Church Spitalfields // Hanbury Community Project
  • Tom Flynn

The festival would not have been possible without the contributions of our interns:

  • Alisa Brem
  • Rachael Davidson
  • Rahkee Kewada
  • Fiona Whitty
  • Ibiayi Briggs
